The drought is rough. HR do not survive long enough to form seed pods. Some or other bug bores into the plant and eats the base causing the flowers to fall of.

Some pictures taken this past week with cuddyback.

I forgot to activate the motion sensor on the Cuddy, but this time I RTS and now both time lapse and motion detection is on.

2009 growing season

Very few plants have grown thus far. Spent an hour in the area this afternoon and only found one specimen. The area is very dry, the winter was cold. There is no sign of moisture in the air.

The camera is set up at 4m (12 feet) from the specimen. Time lapse is set to 3 hours and the motion detection is activated.

The wee spider just to the right of the flower was catching the ants.
